Graduate-Level Human Resources Internship

Nonprofit HR Solutions, DC’s only full-service consulting firm dedicated exclusively to the nonprofit sector, has an immediate and dynamic internship opportunity for an individual who is currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources Management.

The ideal candidate will be a senior or graduate student with an understanding of human resources practices, policy and employment related legislation and a strong commitment to balancing the needs of individuals and organizations.

This individual will provide research and human resources support to the firm’s human resources consulting practice and clients. Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Working with HR Consultants to design, implement and administer HR programs related to staffing, succession planning, policy development, performance management, on-boarding, employee engagement/employee relations, total rewards (compensation and benefits, etc.)

Identifying potential nonprofit clients who are actively seeking human resources and staffing support services;

Assisting with educational content development for annual human resources conference;

Conducting research on changing HR related policies/legislation and practices; and

Providing special projects support to the President & CEO

Internship begins immediately and may continue through the summer of 2008. Salary $17.00 - $20.00/hour based on experience. Minimum 15 hours per week. Office is conveniently located on Capitol Hill and within 5 minutes of Metro.
