Retirement Plan in Shape
Most nonprofits believe that updating a plan document is all they need to do to comply with the new 403(b) regulations for 2009. Wrong. The session will focus on outlining areas of concern in 403(b) audits conducted by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and areas that nonprofits have not paid much attention to like non discrimination testing, compliance ordering rule, universal availability, compensation definition, and more. Hear a case study of an institution’s retirement plan to highlight compliance monitoring. During this session, you will receive techniques on how to keep your plans in compliance with the IRS.

Several studies indicate that growing numbers of for-profit workers areseeking to "bridge" their skills intononprofit organizations. Such moves area critical part of filling aleadership deficitin the nonprofit worldthat Bridgespan Group forecasts will grow to hundreds of thousands of senior management openings over the next three years. New functional skills will be critical to bridge this leadership gap but cultural fit will be a requirement.
