Angela Saunders works with Nonprofit HR’s consulting team to meet the talent management needs of nonprofit clients. She has over 10 years’ experience as an independent consultant, originally launching her business by providing writing and editing services. She expanded her service offerings to include HR consulting in 2015 and has served as in-house HR leader for nonprofit organizations in the Washington, D.C. region. Angela is passionate about promoting human resources professionals as strategic business partners and contributors to organizational advancement. Her areas of expertise include employee and labor relations, leadership and employee coaching, performance management, training and workforce development, policy development, and talent acquisition.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master of Science in Management/Human Resources Management Specialization from University of Maryland University College. Angela has acquired the Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential.
She is a national SHRM member and serves on the board of directors for the Human Resource Society of Prince George’s County, a SHRM affiliate chapter. Angela is also an adjunct human resources professor at Prince George’s Community College and a Notary Public for the State of Maryland.
