Art McCombs has over thirty years of human resource management experience as a staff specialist, trainer, manager, executive and external consultant, primarily representing healthcare and higher education fields. His primary areas of professional expertise are employee/labor relations, talent acquisition, strategic human resource planning, managing diversity, and human capital performance metrics.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science (Government) from The College of Wooster (Ohio) and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Columbia University. He is also a Senior Certified Professional from SHRM (Society for HR Management) and a Diversity Trainer and in Employee-Labor Relations from the School of Industrial & Labor Relations of Cornell University.
Art is also an accomplished academician, having taught human resource management on the graduate level in the Bloomberg School of Public Health and the MBA Program at the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University and teaching the SHRM Certification Exam Prep course at local colleges and universities.
