Maggie Jewett, MA, SHRM-CP, brings over eight years of work experience providing training & development and full HR lifecycle support to both for-profit and nonprofit clients, having served as the primary HR contact for organizations with 5–200 employees. She is particularly experienced in benefits administration, labor relations, HR compliance, managing remote workforces, and implementing and optimizing HR management systems.
She previously taught world languages, which combined her love of linguistics and learning with her desire to have a positive impact. She now applies that global lens, experience viewing people and systems holistically as well as thinking innovatively to increasing efficiency and efficacy in the nonprofit sector.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wheaton College (MA) and a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Italian Literature from the University of Virginia. She is fluent in Italian and conversational in Spanish. She has been an active and credentialed member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) since 2017 and recently completed the Employment Law Certificate through Cornell University. In her free time she volunteers for the Humane Rescue Alliance and is the proud guardian to an adorable Boston Terrier rescue named Isadora.
