Sandra Armenta is a Senior Human Resources Business Partner with more than 15 years of experience integrating functional and strategic human resources management practices to further organizational business goals.

She is the former director of two nationally recognized nonprofit organizations and worked for 8 years as an HR Business Consultant for a national PEO and a smaller boutique business consulting firm.  Her competencies include strong business acumen, understanding of HR best practices, risk management and legal compliance, strong analytical skills, excellent organizational development and a passion for talent management. She is well versed developing total rewards structures for smaller organizations.

Sandra began her career as a recruiter and talent manager specializing in developing competency-based hiring plans.  Her client base focused on helping smaller organizations and startups attract and retain talented individuals in competitive employment markets.  As a result, she developed an expertise working with non-profit organizations having difficulty attracting and retaining talent. She takes a creative approach working with organizational leadership to identify organizational success factors and competencies to help them recruit and retain the right talent.   She has developed creative benefit, compensation and talent development plans that address immediate needs as well as help organizations for plan for the future.

When she is not on the job, Sandra loves mentoring young HR professionals, volunteering for SHRM, developing her business coaching skills, working her way through every recipe in the family cookbook, painting and indulging an eclectic love of music. Sandra earned a master’s degree in Management and an undergraduate degree in Public Relations, both from the University of Maryland (UMUC).
