
Suzanne Shonkwiler, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, has more than 15 years of human resources consulting experience providing practical advice to nonprofit and private clients throughout the HR lifecycle. Suzanne’s expertise lies in managing high-scale, complex deliveries of people priorities, helping build businesses ground-up and creating sustainable structures, with the ability to be comfortable at both strategic and execution levels.
As a consultant, Suzanne is a business-savvy HR leader who provides solutions on both strategic and tactical matters through a combination of academic, practical and data-driven approaches. Suzanne has led a number of large and small engagements from people, cultural and governance perspectives. She possesses excellent interpersonal and people leadership skills. Suzanne prides herself on bringing to her work a sense of discipline, purpose and ethics coupled with a personable leadership style.
Suzanne earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. She is a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and holds the SHRM Total Rewards Specialty credential. She is a member of both the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Charlotte Area Society for Human Resource Management. She was also named the 2010 HR Professional of the Year by the local SHRM Chapter. Suzanne is active in the Charlotte community. She was the Chair of the Board of Directors of Larry King’s Court Clubhouse, as well as a member of both Community Link’s Human Resources Committee and Community Link’s Marketing and Development Committee.
