Tamika S. Hood joined Nonprofit HR’s Strategy & Advisory team with several years of HR experience and ten years of customer service and retail management experience. Before joining Nonprofit HR, Tamika served in internal HR roles with social justice and equity mission-driven nonprofits, such as the Center for Community Change and the Education Trust.
Tamika is passionate about innovative and intricate performance management projects, HR effectiveness and culture assessments, talent management, employee engagement and process improvement across the HR lifecycle with a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice lens. Tamika is a thought partner who provides strategic support in diverse organizational development initiatives by building trusting relationships with executive leaders and key stakeholders.
Tamika earned her master’s in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland and her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University. Tamika is a doctoral candidate pursuing her PhD in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She also holds professional certifications from Coach Diversity Institute as a Certified Professional Diversity Coach (CPDC), Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and is presently working on her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) certification.
