Courtney Shorter, talent management and human resources professional, joined the Nonprofit HR team with 20+ years of HR and talent acquisition experience. As a Senior Consultant with the Recruitment Outsourcing team at Nonprofit HR, delivering incredible client and candidate experiences is always top of mind. She is widely recognized for her exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and candidates for optimal talent and organizational success.

Prior to joining Nonprofit HR, Courtney worked with several nonprofits, tech start-ups and PEO teams in a wide variety of HR functions, including full lifecycle recruiting, onboarding, diversity and inclusion, training and employee relations. She has developed, implemented and managed practical recruitment methods to improve an organization’s overall recruitment process. Courtney has held lead talent acquisition roles and teams, offering her expertise on strategic sourcing and placement, behavioral, case and situational style interviewing, effective organizational development and employer branding strategies to increase talent attraction and retention.

Courtney has a master’s degree in Organizational Development with a concentration in Human Resources, and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from SHRM. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and when not looking for top talent and engaging clients, you can find her traveling, trying new foods, listening to music at an outdoor concert and spending quality time with her family and friends.
