When producing a training, recruiting or retention video it is very important to understand your audience. An example of how not to produce a training video is provided to us today by furniture giant Pier 1 Imports.  The 1990’s video contains a group of white suburbanites rapping sales techniques for new hires. I’m sure it gave all Pier 1 employees something to share and created a common bond (You had to sit through that awful video too?!), but the money might have been better spent on a good mentoring program.
