Nonprofit HR Partners with Independent Sector in Support of Nonprofit SEAT Act
At Nonprofit HR, we thoroughly believe that nonprofits, including associations, charities and other mission-driven organizations, are the backbone of American society. As the leading talent management consulting firm solely for nonprofits and for over 24, we also know that the federal government relies on these organizations to provide services in communities across the country. Many of these nonprofits have global impact. But nonprofits aren’t consistently sitting at the table when policy is created. The Nonprofit Stakeholders Engaging and Advancing Together (SEAT) Act introduced by Representatives Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Betty McCollum (D-MN) aims to fix this problem. This bipartisan legislation would create structures like a White House office on the nonprofit sector and an advisory board of nonprofit leaders.
The Nonprofit SEAT Act would also make it easier for nonprofits to raise money with less paperwork, pursue federal grants and access the same economic data that corporations get for free. Most of all, nonprofits can shape the policies that impact them and their communities. Demonstrate the power of the nonprofit sector by adding your organization to the letter of support.
