The Nonprofit HR Conference (NHRC) has opened its 2013 call for presentations. The submission period closes February 1, 2013.

“We are excited about our 2013 conference,” said Mac Smith, Director of Marketing for Nonprofit HR, host of the annual event. “The 2012 NHRC was our highest rated conference to date and possessed the most executive-level content we have ever organized. We found that the attendees enjoyed the more challenging content and left energized.”

For the first time in 2012, NHRC received a 95 percent approval rating from attendees. The rating is the result of almost every attendee indicating on the final conference satisfaction survey that they would return to the event in 2013.

“NHRC began with a broad scope for its educational topics. Over five years our attendance has grown and evolved, we now attract everyone from non-HR professionals and mid-level HR professionals to senior executives. The attendees have commented that content is useful but not ground breaking for seasoned HR leaders,” explained Smith. “We want to remain responsive and relevant to the divergent needs of our audience, so this year’s theme is Shaking Up the Status Quo.”

Sessions will be produced that are relevant, specifically targeted to nonprofit professionals, and that demonstrate the potential to help attendees break down the barriers, processes or techniques in their organizations and the nonprofit sector that are inefficient, out of date or need reconsideration. In addition, sessions that include the diverse perspectives of a panel, particularly those that include a nonprofit HR practitioner, have a greater chance of selection in 2013.

“Our attendees have come to expect a high level of professionalism and experience from NHRC speakers. They now want new ways of thinking that will take their organizations to the next level,” said Smith. “We plan on exceeding their expectations.”
