He is highly versed in human resource strategy and implementation, with success in the disciplines of process analysis and improvement, policy development, compliance/audit and HRIS/HR technology. Sidney has completed successful engagements with clients such as the Illinois Education Association, Rebuilding Together, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and Greenpeace. Before transitioning to consulting, Sidney created the HR function at the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization (BBYO) and served as Director of Human Resources at AIIM International, where his efforts earned AIIM the “Great Places to Work” seal of excellence from Montgomery Work-Life Alliance. Sidney specializes in HR start-ups and turn-arounds, having twice established human resource departments at companies with no prior HR presence. Sidney earned his Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from HRCI and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). Sidney oversees client engagements for HR projects and HR department outsourcing.

At the Nonprofit HR Conference, Sidney will present on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). The reforms to our nation’s healthcare function are in the process of being reformed. The “Pay or Play” debate slated to take effect in 2014 has to be worked through by all organizations in the coming months, dependent upon when your organization’s benefits plan year begins. Join us to drill into the ACA and look for some answers for your organization.
