Chantel Simms brings 20 years of experience in the HR field and has worked in small-to-large organizations and Fortune 500 environments. Chantel brings enormous depth and breadth of human resources experience in both non-profit and for-profit industries. For over eight years in a HR supervisory role, she successfully guided the executive team and diverse groups of talent through organizational changes and challenges. Chantel is also a multi-faceted human resources leader and champions strategic HRM plans to drive business success. She is known for engaging employees at all levels, has a passion for helping others, and is intentional in making a positive daily impact.
In her previous role as the HR Department head, Chantel led talent management and talent acquisition in support of the company’s strategic goals. Her core expertise includes talent management & acquisition, risk mitigation, employee relations, coaching and mentoring, relationship and communication building among all levels of employees.
Chantel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Averett University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Organization and Human Resource Development from the University of Mary Washington. Chantel maintains a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification, is a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), a certified Yellow Belt in Diversity and Inclusion through Six Sigma Global Institute (SSGI).
