As HR professionals we are all experts at attending HR conferences. Sometimes we even cross-pollinate by attending other sectors’ HR events. Below is a small glimpse into a public sector event.

Stars & Stripes reported that the Department of Veterans Affairs spent $52,000 on this video played at a conference for employees. It contains a George C. Scott look-a-like in his role as Patton. In the almost 15 minute video a number of Human Resources professionals explain the importance of the VA to employees of the VA currently attending a VA conference. Not the best we’ve seen, but another example of how organizations try to reinforce the importance of their mission on their staff.
